Feast Issue#6, Forget me no press, 23 December 2023

Xinyi Yang is a promising young watercolor and oil painter, based in Edinburgh, who has been immersed in systematic art theory studies since childhood. Her creative pursuits primarily revolve around the realms of watercolor painting, oil painting, and sketching. Ms. Yang graduated from the University of Edinburgh's Edinburgh College of Art (ECA) and has a background in oil painting and graphic design.

A year after graduation, Ms. Yang resolutely decided to pursue a career as a professional artist. Her body of work consistently reflects a pursuit of self-exploration, showcasing profound explorations of color, form, and emotion, as well as the interplay between reality and dreams. Particularly noteworthy is her portrayal of female figures, which continues to captivate audiences, serving as a focal point within her art. Her artistic journey not only encompasses an unwavering exploration of the external world but also delves deep into the intricacies of her own complex identity, epitomizing the essence of her artistic journey.
