Xinyi Yang (b.1999) is a young painter based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Xinyi studied in Wuhan, China and Edinburgh, receiving her BA in Fine art & art education from Hubei University and followed with a master's degree in graphic design from Edinburgh College of Art in 2022. Xinyi as young generation who explores identity and sex from female view. As a millennial style visual art, influence by pop culture and sharing her own feelings on canvas and paper. Her research combines traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy methods with conceptual narrative methods in Western image construction.
